This is Duke’s first three-game losing streak since the 2006-07 season. That season, it had two four-game losing streaks.

Michael Gbinije, Tyler Roberson, Trevor Cooney and Malachi Richardson led Syracuse with 14 points apiece on Monday, but Roberson stole the show. The 6-8 junior guard added 20 rebounds (12 offensive).

The Blue Devils (14-5, 3-3 ACC) have an extremely shallow bench, which has led to struggles on offense. One positive for them this season has been the improved play of fifth-year senior center Marshall Plumlee, who scored a game-high 19 points with 17 rebounds Monday. It was his fourth double-double of the season.
The Orange (13-7, 3-4) still have some work left if they’re going to get into the tournament, but Gbinije and Cooney have the talent to lead them on a Gerry McNamara-like run.
