The cell phone carrier announced at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show it has signed naming rights for the new $375 million arena under construction in Las Vegas.
Terms were not disclosed, but the agreement is just under 15 years, a source told SportsBusiness Journal. The value is believed to be under $6 million annually.

T-Mobile Arena, the 20,000-seat facility’s official name, opens April 6 with a concert by The Killers and Wayne Newton.
UFC 200, UNLV-Duke men’s basketball and the 2016 PBR World Finals are among the first sports events lined up for the arena that could potentially be the home of an NHL expansion team over the next few years.
T-Mobile Arena (AEG)
For T-Mobile, it’s the company’s first naming rights deal for a sports and entertainment venue. Arena patrons can expect plenty of hot pink hues throughout the building matching the T-Mobile brand, from the painted walls to digital video boards including a sign on the arena roof.
T-Mobile customers get perks for attending events at the shiny new building, including a fast-track VIP lane for exclusive access through the arena doors, seat upgrades and pre-sale ticket opportunities.
“T-Mobile is disruptive and irreverent — a perfect complement to our vision of entertainment in Las Vegas,” said Todd Goldstein, chief revenue officer for AEG, which is privately financing arena construction in a joint venture with MGM Resorts International.
Coca-Cola and Toshiba are other major sponsors for the new arena.
