During the Call of Duty: Vanguard premiere event, T-Pain took center stage to unveil the new Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera map. Before unveiling the map, T-Pain talked about Caldera being his only island vacation this year other than the Dominican Republic. This is when T-Pain seemingly broke character and brought up legalized prostitution in the Dominican Republic.

As T-Pain went off-topic, the audience at the Call of Duty: Vanguard pre-launch event started to chatter amongst themselves which T-Pain took notice of. As the audience talked, T-Pain implored them to fall silent by saying, “ladies and gentlemen… hold on, hold on. You’re all talking too much. No, can’t do it, you’re all talking too much.” As the crowd failed to follow T-Pain’s instructions, the rapper shushed the audience several times before revealing the new Call of Duty: Warzone map.

T-Pain stated that he wanted his map reveal to be good, suggesting that he wanted to do the updated map justice despite his previously off-the-rails speech. He went on to reveal the Caldera map in a dramatic master of ceremony style reminiscent of a pre-game announcer at a sporting event. Although images of the Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera map had already been revealed prior to the Call of Duty: Vanguard event, the footage went on to give Warzone fans more of an idea of the map that they’ll be exploring soon.

During the Call of Duty: Vanguard premiere, the audience was seemingly confused as T-Pain went off-topic, with some of them presumably discussing the rapper’s previous statement. T-Pain is known primarily for being a rapper, but also as a Twitch streamer and master of ceremonies, but he may have failed to read the room with his statement about prostitution. T-Pain may have realized this after it slipped from his mouth, regaining composure as he tried to regain control of the reveal.

It’s currently unclear if T-Pain was joking or being serious about an upcoming Dominican Republic vacation, but this segment of his speech was likely influenced by the tropical aesthetic of Caldera. Whether in jest or seriousness, T-Pain putting it on equal ground as a tropical vacation is high praise for the new map. Because T-Pain is a Twitch streamer in his free time, it’s likely that Call of Duty: Warzone fans will be able to catch his thoughts on Caldera in a future stream.

Call of Duty: Vanguard releases on November 5 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
