The eighth overall pick in this year’s draft caught a 9-yard pass from Matthew Stafford in the third quarter at Kansas City’s 8-yard line and tried hurdling two Chiefs defenders, but instead got wrapped up between Damien Wilson and Tyrann Mathieu.
Detroit announced Hockenson was evaluated for a concussion before he was eventually ruled out for the game.
Hockenson had three catches for 27 yards and a touchdown before exiting.
The Lions held a 23-20 lead over the Chiefs entering the fourth quarter.
