It will be the 10th consecutive year the Birmingham venue has hosted Finals Day and a packed crowd will enjoy a stellar line-up.
Lancashire Lightning and Yorkshire Vikings are up in the first semi-finals. It is the first time English cricket’s oldest and fiercest domestic rivalry will be played out on Finals Day.
Yorkshire have the added incentive of being one of only five out of the 18 first-class counties not to have won the competition. Lancashire are making a joint-record ninth appearance at Finals Day, although they have only lifted the trophy once in 2015.
Hampshire Hawks share that record with Lancashire as Finals Day regulars and are aiming for a third crown. The last of those came in 2012, however, and James Vince’s men are aiming to break a run of five consecutive semi-final defeats.
To do so, they will have to overcome a Somerset side that set competition records for the most runs scored in a single innings and the biggest margin of victory when they demolished Derbyshire Falcons in their quarter-final.

The ECB’s position at present is that it will be “flexible”, with decisions on player availability to be made closer to the weekend.
Lancashire and Yorkshire risk being the most affected, with each having four players in the England ODI squad. New captain Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone, Phil Salt and Matt Parkinson make up the Red Rose contingent, while Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, Harry Brook and David Willey have been selected from Yorkshire.
Somerset’s Craig Overton is the lone Somerset representative, while Hampshire look like the most obvious beneficiaries of the situation, given none of their players are in England’s 15-man party.
