Because of this generic formula, healing is usually kept to a minimum. Too much healing and the equation gets unbalanced, allowing gamers to beat the game by gaining back all that life they are supposed to lose. The lost soul in Tainted Grail: Conquest completely throws off this balance and can be a huge part in allowing rookies to beat the game on the toughest difficulty settings.
Farming Wyrdstones
The currency the lost soul most prefers to deal with is the Wyrdstone. There are many ways to gather Wyrdstones, the most common of which is simply battling it out with as many monsters as possible. Once properly leveled, clear the map of monsters for maximum Wyrdstone gain.
Also, after unlocking every class, Wyrdstones are granted as opposed to new classes, so getting lots of points each run will net a bunch as well. And don’t forget that NPCs, once they are saved, often offer up Wyrdstones as thanks when encountered. Finally, the seamstress has an upgrade that provides up to 50% extra Wyrdstone gain.
The Wolf: A Liability For Most
The lost soul will offer players a wolf for every run, free for them to choose whether to run with it or not. Unfortunately, in most cases, the wolf is a liability more than an asset. Though it can be summoned for zero energy, the total cost is hardly “free.” This RPG might get an exciting sequel, but the wolf will need a lot of buffs to carry over from one to the other.
It still counts against hand size, so it takes the place of other cards. Upgrade cards also take up spots and cost one energy apiece. And the wolf’s output is low compared to other moves that are free or cost one energy or less. Lastly, the damage the wolf does is random, he’ll occasionally attack opponents that need to be left alone.
Quest Cards Are Great For Veterans
Quest cards can also be bought at the lost soul and they’re generally not recommended for newer players. There is usually a negative consequence associated with playing the card for the first few times. However, after being played so many times, quest cards become something amazing.

Veterans that want to beat the game’s toughest difficulties will love quest cards because they can use the charges against easy opponents and then have the fully upgraded card against the bosses. For those who can’t quite beat one of the best RPGs on Game Pass, quest cards can be the difference-maker.
Resting Is Free Healing
What makes Tainted Grail: Conquest one of the most immersive RPGs on PC is the vibe of the game. Drinking potions and resting by campfires capture the aesthetic just perfectly. But between those two choices, there is clearly a superior option between battles.

The point of potions is to use them in a battle for some necessary healing. Using them outside of combat is a waste. Resting by the campfire is free to do twice when upgraded, meaning that players can do it all but one time each run when they visit their village. Save the potions for combat.
Take Healing Stocks Over Upgrades
Ideally, everything gets upgraded to full. But that’s a process that will take dedicated gamers weeks to fulfill. So, in the meantime, players will have to choose. Should they upgrade the quantity of the potions? Or the quality of the potions? It’s a pretty easy answer.
Upgrading the potions by five health is a small gain that borders on inconsequential. An additional potion is not only more total healing, but it is useful in more instances when emergencies can happen. Between these two upgrades, go with quantity over quality.
Tainted Grail: Conquest was released on May 27th, 2021, and is available for PC.
