FIFA 11 will continue to feature traditional 11 on 11 matches with over 15,000 real life players from 500 teams. In addition to that EA is introducing a new 5 on 5 “street” arcade style game only available on the Nintendo Wii.

When you take your team to the street, rather than wearing their traditional kits, they’ll be playing ball in regular shirts and shorts. To keep the vibe of playing off the pitch, players will be on an enclosed field, bringing playable walls into your strategy. It also looks to have the same power up system from the old EA Sports BIG games where you can build up points to activate a power meter for devastating shots.

Aside from street mode, there will also be new match types including first to score and Tug of War, along with a long line of mini games to increase your skills.

This is a good move for FIFA soccer on the Wii. The only thing I don’t like is that most of this seems to be Wii exclusive. Street mode will make for a fun distraction from seriousness of the other modes, and I’d love to see that be included on the PS3 and Xbox 360, but only time will tell.

Are you excited so see the revival of FIFA Street in FIFA 11? Let us hear it in the comments.
