Supernova FC beat Parikrma to move one step closer to the title while Diablos FC beat Phoenix FC to move into second spot. Athlos United were held by FC Brunton, but Netbusters, who beat Diego FC in an impressive come from behind performance, overtook Brunton in the standings. Warriors FC picked up a win against FK FC, with the latter still winlessWith only two games to left to go, Sueprnova have seemingly clinched the title and promotion but with games against Brunton and Diablos still left, anything could happen. Meanwhile Athlos and Parikrma are in hot pursuit of the coveted second spot, which also delivers promotion to the holder.
Athlos United 1 – 1 FC Brunton
The opening game of the week saw a cautious start with both teams playing a tactical game. However, it was Brunton, who looked more likely to score and they did in the second half when NakulGanapthy’s free kick found itself into the net in the 49th minute. Athlos found themselves a equalizer in the final minute of the match to save blushes and pick up a point. Brunton impressed against Diablos (in GW 6) and continued that against Athlos but could only manage draws in both games. Athlos’s dropped points mean they are out of the title race but can still finish second.

Warriors FC 3 – 1 FK FC
Warriors FC picked up their second win for the season when they beat FK FC 3-1 in the second game of the day. Saheed Adoye was in top form and helped himself to a brace while PradeepRawat added a goal. FK FC equalized in the 25th minute through ShreyasSrivathsa but quickly surrendered again to an opposition determined to win. Warriors FC now sit in 8th place, tied on points with the teams above them while FK FC still languish at the bottom.

Diego FC 1 – 2 Netbusters
Diego FC threw away a first-half lead when they succumbed to Netbusters in a come from behind win for the latter. Diego FC found themselves ahead when, captain, PrabhakaranSanthana opened the scoring in the 14th minute, but a change in strategy at half time for Netbusters saw them exploit Diego’s positional indiscipline to seal the win. Etiboy Demas grabbed a brace for Netbusters and was influential in midfield while SwarajGhosh put in a man of the match performance in gloves.

Diablos FC 7 – 0 Phoenix FC
Diablos FC overtook Parikrma into second place in the standings, when they beat Phoenix FC in the first game of the afternoon session. Diablos FC showed up with a balanced squad that workedseamlessly well throughout the match. Top-scorer, Tariq Sheriff scored his third hat trick of the season while PratheekJayant added a brace.
Phoenix FC was no match for a squad in top form but had glimpses of hope in the first half before the goals were piled upon them. Diablos have an outside shot at the title but will be hoping Brunton help them out when the latter takes on Supernova in GW 8.

Supernova FC 2 – 1 Parikrma
The headliner of the day resulted in Supernova moving one step closer to the title with a gritty win over fellow title rivals, Parikrma. Supernova took an early lead when PhilipBabalola converted a penalty. Parikrma found it hard to get going after that and were not on the top of their game, especially in their passing and movement.
Although Parikrma equalized early in the second half, Supernova snatched a late winner to take a 5-point lead at the top of the table with only two games left to go. Parikrma drop to third place with this loss, but have an easier schedule than Diablos and Athlos United, and will be hoping to finish second.
