The first episode in Tales from the Borderlands is titled “Zer0 Sum” and will seemingly focus on the Vault Hunter Zer0. Telltale has been fairly secretive with details, but we do know that the game picks up after the events of Borderlands 2, in which Zer0 was a playable character.

Borderlands’ iconic villain Handsome Jack is also said to play a major part in the game’s narrative, but how exactly is unclear. Perhaps the idea is to build off Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, which featured Handsome Jack’s transformation from anti-hero to full-fledged villain

Gamers interested in picking up Tales from the Borderlands have several different ways to do so. They can pick up the individual episode for $5 on the platform of their choice, or they can pick up the Tales from the Borderlands Season Pass. Said Season Pass will retail for $15 on Xbox, $20 on PlayStation, and $25 on PC. No reason for the price disparity has been given.

It’s also important to point out that these dates are only for North America; European gamers will get their hands on Episode 1 on December 3rd. Coincidentally, that’s also when the Xbox 360 version will launch worldwide.

As we mention, there’s a fair bit of mystery surrounding Tales from the Borderlands, but that’s not unexpected given this is a Telltale production. The developer likes to play everything close to the chest, whether it’s their upcoming Game of Thrones adaptation or this Borderlands spin-off. The nice thing, though, is that Telltale also loves to surprise, like they did here with the release dates.

And for Telltale fans that means two high profile releases before the end of the year with Tales and Game of Thrones. Keep an eye on Game Rant for our review of Tales from the Borderlands’ first episode in the coming days.
