The Tales of 25th Anniversary broadcast will officially air on December 15 at 6:00 am ET, so American audiences may have to catch any news after they wake up. The broadcast is said to include details about what’s being worked on in the Tales of franchise. Tales of Arise isn’t specifically mentioned, but Tales of merchandise, events, and mobile ports of classic Tales of games have been confirmed. There will also be a musical performance, as well as interviews with a variety of voice actors and developers.

While it’s unlikely that any major revelations for Tales of Arise will occur since this is intended to be a celebration of all things Tales of, there’s still likely to be some news. Tales of Arise is still planned for a 2021 release, at least in Japan, following a delay out of 2020. Bandai Namco is likely looking for an opportunity to share more information, which this anniversary stream would be perfect for.

Tales of Arise will be the first original game released in the Tales of franchise since Tales of Berseria launched in 2016. Bandai Namco’s said that it’s planning to “evolve” the franchise with Arise, starting with a switch to Unreal Engine 4 for the game. Expectations are high for the JRPG, but it still has a lot to prove. That hopefully starts on December 15.

Tales of Arise is planned for 2021 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
