RELATED: Tales of Arise: Every Weapon For Alphen (& How To Craft Them)

The Hunt for New Arms is one of the aforementioned fetch quests in Calaglia and requires players to find three Stone Fragments for a man named Dyron. It’s intended as a way of easing players into the weapon crafting mechanics in Tales of Arise, but doesn’t really give them any indication as to where exactly they should be looking. This guide will help players to find Stone Fragments, while also providing other information related to the Hunt for New Arms sub-quest.

How to Start The Hunt for New Arms

The Hunt for New Arms won’t become available until after players have beaten Balseph at Glanymede Castle. Players will also need to have turned in the Supply Procurement and Forging From Scratch sub-quests; both of which are handed out by Dyron outside the inn in Ulzebek. After all of these requirements have been met, players can begin the quest by speaking to Dyron in the same location as before and agreeing to help find the Stone Fragments for him.

Where to Find Stone Fragments in Tales of Arise

Stone Fragments are just one of many weapon crafting materials in Tales of Arise. They’re sometimes dropped by the Golem enemy, which can be found exclusively in two of the areas in Calaglia: Sandinus Ravine and Iglia Wastes. There are three of them scattered around Iglia Wastes and one near the beginning of Sandinus Ravine, with the latter area arguably being the best place to acquire the required Stone Fragments due to both the position and levels of the Golems and how much smaller the area is.

It’s important to note, however, that there’s no guarantee that a Golem will actually drop a Stone Fragment after being defeated. This means that players will more than likely need to rest at a campfire or exit and then re-enter the area to make the giant stone enemies respawn before they can get their hands on the three Stone Fragments that they need. This process is fairly straightforward though and so shouldn’t require more than a few minutes to complete.

If players are tackling this quest after gaining access to accessories, they can increase the chances of a Golem dropping a Stone Fragment by equipping a Lucky Bangle. These can be found in a few different locations, but the easiest way of obtaining one is to create it using a Lucky Pebble, which can be mined from one of the blue crystal-like Mining Points found throughout the game. This shouldn’t really be necessary, however, as players should be able to farm three Stone Fragments fairly quickly in Sandinus Ravine.

The Rewards for Completing The Hunt for New Arms

Once they’ve found the three Stone Fragments that they need, players should return to Dyron in Ulzebek and hand them over. There’ll then be a short exchange, after which they’ll be rewarded with 700 Gald and 170 SP. This is the final sub-quest handed out by Dyron, so completing it won’t unlock any new ones just yet, though players will need to turn it in to unlock the final few quests in the game later on as well as the Problem Solver Trophy/Achievement.
