Unfortunately, disaster struck Cohen on Tuesday. He suffered a serious-looking injury during a routine workout that he was streaming on Instagram Live. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the injury was a torn Achilles.

Cohen was performing a drill that entailed backpedaling and then exploding forward to work on his change of direction skills. However, as he pushed off, he fell to the ground in pain and grabbed at the back of his right heel.
Someone could be heard saying “no” repeatedly after the injury. It’s unclear whether that was Cohen or one of his workout partners.
After the injury, former teammates began voicing their support for Cohen.

This injury is the latest setback for Cohen. The 5-6, 191-pound running back hasn’t played since Week 3 of the 2020 NFL season when he suffered tears to his ACL, MCL and a tibial plateau fracture, which occurs when the bone below the knee breaks into the knee joint. The damage in Cohen’s knee was so severe that he had to miss the entire 2021 season while continuing to recover from it.
Cohen had recently explained in a letter to himself on The Players Tribune that he was starting to feel better physically.
